SUFFOCATION Confirms NUCLEAR BLAST Signing

New York death metal legends SUFFOCATION have confirmed that they have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for the release of their new album, entitled "Blood Oath" (as BLABBERMOUTH.NETfirst reported back on August 27). The band most recently made the announcement during its appearance Thursday night (September 18) at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California (where CARCASS was the headliner). The CD is expected in early 2009.

Norway's Eternal Terror webzine conducted an interview with SUFFOCATION vocalist Frank Mullen at this year's Neurotic Deathfest, which was held May 30-31 at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The six-and-a-half-minute clip, which features footage of the band's performance at the festival, can be viewed below.

Roadrunner Records in January released a "best-of" collection from SUFFOCATION, appropriately titled "The Best of Suffocation".
